Make the Herts Farmers Calendar Easier to access

How very 21st century! You can now save a link to the homescreen on your smartphone which will make it easier to access the website and keep up to date with what is going on in the Hertfordshire agricultural community.

1. Open the Herts Farmers Calendar website from your android phone.
2. At the top of the screen you can click on the icon that opens more options for the web browser which quite often looks like 3 vertical dots.
3. Click "Add to Home Screen" (some browsers you will need to click "page" and then "add to home screen"
4. Done! You will now have an icon on your home screen that when pressed will open up the calendar directly.

If you own an iphone and want to effectively create a desktop app / shortcut for this website then - 

1. Open the Herts Farmers Calendar website from your iphone 
2. At the bottom of the screen is an icon that looks like an upwards arrow and a square - press this and it will bring up a list of options
3. Click "Add to Home Screen" and choose a name for the link.
4. Done! You will now have an icon on your home screen that when pressed will open up the calendar directly.

Subscribe to the calendar

Subscribing to the calendar will mean that events are automatically updated in your calendar. You also get notifications of cancellations and amendments. You only have to do this once!
It works best to subscribe to a calendar using a computer.
Find the Link  at the bottom right side of the calendar (+Google Calendar), and click the Link.
If you are not logged into your Google Account, you will be asked to log in.
The calendar will be added to your calendar list.
On your Android device that is synced to your Google Account, verify that Sync Calendars is selected in Settings.
